We were honored to welcome College of DuPage Distinguished Alumnus Jim Belushi back to his alma mater for a memorable and engaging visit. The day was filled with insightful interactions and exciting moments that showcased his connection to the College and his passion for various fields of study.
Jim’s visit commenced with a dynamic Q&A session held in the theater that bears his name. Current theater and music students had the privilege of engaging with the renowned actor and comedian, learning from his experiences in the entertainment industry. Jim shared his journey from his time at COD to his successful career, engaging students in some improv and offering advice to the aspiring artists and performers in the audience.
Lunch with members of the community, faculty, staff, and students was held in the College’s greenhouse. This informal gathering allowed for Jim to connect with the COD community and share stories and memories from his time as a student.
The day concluded with another Q&A session, this time with horticulture students. Jim’s passion for horticulture shone through when he talked about his experiences and expertise in the field, as well as the challenges and integrity required in entrepreneurship. Horticulture students had the chance to delve into his expertise and gain valuable insights.
